Sañjaya said: “O King, having thrown the entire field into a bristling tumult—like a kadamba blossom ruffled all around—Kuntī’s son Arjuna charged straight at Jayadratha. In the press of dharma-bound war, his single-minded advance signals both resolve and accountability: the pursuit of a specific wrongdoer amid the wider chaos of battle.”

Even amid collective warfare, dharma is framed as requiring discernment and responsibility: Arjuna’s focused charge represents the pursuit of a specific agent of wrongdoing rather than indiscriminate violence, emphasizing resolve guided by moral purpose.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Arjuna, stirring the whole battlefield into a heightened, bristling commotion (likened to a kadamba blossom), rushes to attack Jayadratha directly.
