Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how speech and counsel shape action in the epic: a warrior’s response is framed by loyalty and duty, and the narrative emphasizes accountability for words that propel ethical choices in war.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Karṇa (Rādheya), having been addressed by Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son (Duryodhana), is about to reply—serving as a transition into Karṇa’s ensuing words or decision.
