Śalya–Bhīma Gadāyuddham (मद्रराज-भीमसेन गदायुद्धम्)
sañjaya uvāca | tasya sarvāyasīṁ śaktiṁ śalyaḥ kanakabhūṣaṇām | cikṣepa samare ghorāṁ dīptām agniśikhām iva ||
Sañjaya said: Then Śalya, in that dreadful battle, hurled at him a śakti spear wholly wrought of iron and adorned with gold—blazing like a tongue of fire. The deed marked the war’s rising ferocity, as martial skill and the will to destroy overwhelmed restraint, forcing the listener to face the moral cost of victory sought through ever-deadlier weapons.
