अन्धकार-रजःसंमूढे रणाङ्गणे प्रदीपप्रकाशः | Illumination of the Army in Darkness and Dust

तामापतन्तीमालक्ष्य भीमसेनो महागदाम्‌ । शरैरवारयद्‌ राजन्‌ सर्वसैन्यस्य पश्यत:,राजन्‌! उस विशाल गदाको अपने ऊपर आती देख भीमसेनने सब सेनाओंके देखते- देखते बाणोंद्वारा उसका निवारण कर दिया

tām āpatantīm ālakṣya bhīmaseno mahā-gadām | śarair avārayad rājan sarva-sainyasya paśyataḥ ||

Sañjaya said: Seeing that massive mace hurtling toward him, Bhīmasena checked it with a volley of arrows, O King, in full view of the entire army.
