गच्छत्यस्तं दिनकरे दीप्यमाना इवांशव: । वे नाराच इस पृथ्वीमें प्रवेश करते समय वैसी ही शोभा पा रहे थे, जैसे सूर्यके डूबते समय उनकी चमकीली किरणें प्रकाशित होती हैं
Transliteration
gacchaty astaṃ dinakare dīpyamānā ivāṃśavaḥ |
Translation
Sañjaya said: As the sun was setting, those blazing narāca shafts, plunging into the earth, seemed to shine with a splendor like the sun’s radiant rays at dusk. The image heightens the grim beauty of battle even as it underscores the waste of life and valor in war.
