Sañjaya said: Having defeated them all in the battle, the mighty Pāṇḍava—Bhīmasena, the son of Pāṇḍu—struck his own arms in challenge and let out a lion-like roar.
संजय उवाच
In a dharmic war, a warrior’s strength must be joined to steadfast courage and clarity of purpose. Bhīma’s lion-roar and arm-striking symbolize unwavering resolve and the duty to protect one’s side through decisive action, not through cruelty or hesitation.
After defeating opposing fighters in the ongoing battle, Bhīmasena publicly signals victory and readiness for further combat by striking his arms and roaring like a lion, while Sañjaya reports this to Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
