एष ते सदृशं शत्रो: कर्म भीम: करोम्यहम् | “परंतु आज तुम्हारे मुँहसे जो बात निकल रही है, उससे हमलोगोंपर तुम्हारा विपरीत भाव लक्षित होता है। यदि तुम अपने-आपको शत्रु मानते हो तो ऐसा ही सही। यह मैं भीमसेन तुम्हारे शत्रुके अनुरूप कर्म कर रहा हूँ"
sañjaya uvāca | eṣa te sadṛśaṃ śatroḥ karma bhīmaḥ karomy aham |
Sanjaya said: “This is the kind of deed befitting you as an enemy; I—Bhima—am performing it. For the words now coming from your mouth reveal a hostile intent toward us. If you choose to regard yourself as an enemy, then let it be so; I will act toward you in the manner due to an enemy.”
