भीमसेन न ते शकया प्रवेष्टमरिवाहिनी । मामनिर्जित्य समरे शत्रुमद्य महाबल,“महाबली भीमसेन! तुम समरभूमिमें आज मुझ शत्रुको पराजित किये बिना इस शत्रुसेनामें प्रवेश नहीं कर सकोगे
bhīmasena na te śakyā praveṣṭum arivāhinī | mām anirjitya samare śatrum adya mahābala ||
Sañjaya said: “O mighty Bhīmasena, you will not be able to enter this enemy host today unless you first defeat me in battle. Without overcoming me on the field, you cannot break through to strike the foe.”
