tam abravīd aśru-pūrṇaḥ kṛṣṇa-sarpa iva śvasan

Translation

Sañjaya said: With eyes brimming with tears, he spoke—breathing hard like a black serpent—his grief and fury tightening into words amid the moral ruin of war.
