Even in urgent personal duties (such as seeking a brother), a leader must not disregard steadfast allies; dharma includes honoring reliable support, maintaining trust, and safeguarding one’s reputation for fairness and gratitude.
Sañjaya reports a judgment that people will make: that Yudhiṣṭhira, preoccupied with finding his brother, is effectively overlooking Sātyaki, the Vṛṣṇi warrior renowned for proven valor—underscoring the strain of battlefield priorities and public perception.
