The verse highlights attentive inquiry into dharma and conduct in war: Dhṛtarāṣṭra seeks a truthful account of how extraordinary prowess can alter the course of battle, prompting reflection on valor, strategy, and the moral weight of martial action.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra asks Saṃjaya to explain how Sātyaki, fighting alone, managed to drive back many renowned warriors who were actively engaged in combat, and then advance onward—an inquiry into a striking battlefield episode in the Droṇa Parva.
