jitvā sarvāṇi sainyāni prāyāt sātyakir arjunam |
Sañjaya said: In the midst of that exceedingly dreadful, tumultuous battle, Sātyaki, having overcome all your forces, pressed forward toward Arjuna.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣātra-dharma expressed as steadfast loyalty and protective duty: even amid a terrifying melee, a warrior committed to his allies advances after overcoming obstacles, placing responsibility and solidarity above fear.
During a fierce phase of the Kurukṣetra war, Sātyaki breaks through and defeats the opposing troops (addressed as 'your armies' to Dhṛtarāṣṭra) and then moves toward Arjuna, implying an urgent effort to reach, support, or safeguard him.
