द्रोणस्य विहिता राजन यैर्धुष्टद्युम्नमाक्षिणोत् । राजन! आचार्य समरांगणमें महारथी धृष्टद्युम्नके साथ युद्ध करने लगे। निकटसे युद्ध करनेवाले द्रोणाचार्यके पास उन्हींके बनाये हुए वैतस्तिक नामक बाण थे, जिनके द्वारा उन्होंने धृष्टद्युम्नको क्षत-विक्षत कर दिया
Translation
O King, Droṇa employed the measures he had devised to strike Dhṛṣṭadyumna. O King! Upon the field of battle the Ācārya began to fight with the mahāratha Dhṛṣṭadyumna. In that close combat, Droṇācārya had at hand the very arrows he himself had fashioned, called Vaitastika; with them he tore Dhṛṣṭadyumna, leaving him mangled and grievously wounded.
