Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how extraordinary valor and disciplined conduct in a righteous cause can inspire awe even amid war; it frames heroism as a visible, accountable form of kṣatriya-duty (conduct that can be ‘witnessed’ and judged).

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, in the ongoing battle, they beheld a remarkable and great exploit performed by Śaineya—i.e., Sātyaki—signaling a notable turn or feat on the battlefield.
