Educational Q&A

Even in conflict, leadership operates through dharma of one’s role: Droṇa, as ācārya and commander, responds by strengthening collective morale and resolve. The verse highlights how words can shape ethical stamina and unity before action.

Sañjaya narrates to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Droṇa hears the words spoken by Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son (implicitly Duryodhana) and then addresses the Kuru army, cheering them and beginning his reply.
