Śaineya’s Breakthrough and Reunion with Arjuna (शैनेयस्य समागमः)

Sañjaya said: At that very moment, the Pāṇḍava great chariot-warriors, seeing Kṛtavarmā pressing the fight with swift, relentless action, struck him hard in the battle with volleys of arrows.
The verse highlights the moral and practical reality of warfare: aggressive momentum in battle is met with counter-force. It reflects the kṣatriya arena where duty, strategy, and consequence intertwine—swift action provokes swift resistance, and violence tends to escalate through reciprocal retaliation.
Sañjaya reports that, at that moment in the fighting, the Pāṇḍava elite chariot-warriors concentrate their attack on Kṛtavarmā, who is fighting rapidly, and they wound him severely with many arrows on the battlefield.
