Educational Q&A

The verse highlights resolute agency in conflict: a leader like Droṇa, bound by allegiance and role, will employ every means to fulfill his side’s objective. Ethically, it points to how duty and loyalty can drive total commitment even amid morally complex warfare.

Sañjaya reports that Droṇa is expected to make an all-out attempt to block or restrain the speaker’s movement or action on the battlefield, indicating a tactical obstruction by Droṇa as commander.
