Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)
न हाहं त्वां महाराज अनिक्षिप्य महाहवे
na hāhaṃ tvāṃ mahārāja anikṣipya mahāhave
Sañjaya said: “O great king, I will not—indeed I will not—leave you behind in this mighty battle.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast loyalty and a sense of duty: the speaker affirms that he will not abandon the king even amid the extremity of war, emphasizing commitment to one’s charge and relationship despite danger.
Sañjaya, addressing the king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra), makes a firm declaration in the context of the ongoing great battle, stating that he will not leave the king behind—an assurance of continued presence, support, and faithful reporting during the crisis.
