सर्वथाहमनुप्राप्त: सुकृच्छ त्वयि जीवति । इस अनन्त सैन्यसमुद्रमें डूबकर अर्जुन अपने प्राणोंका भी परित्याग कर देगा। युद्धमें उसके मारे जानेपर मेरे-जैसा मनुष्य कैसे जीवित रह सकता है? युयुधान! तुम्हारे जीते-जी मैं सब प्रकारसे बड़े भारी संकटमें पड़ गया हूँ
Translation
“In every way, even while you yet live, I have fallen into a most grievous peril. In this boundless ocean of armies, Arjuna will be swallowed up and may even cast away his life. If he is slain in battle, how could a man like me go on living? O Yuyudhāna, while you still live, I have been plunged on all sides into a terrible संकट.”
