(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठका १ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल ३९ श्लोक हैं) ््ज-्अ ्ःः छा अकाल त्रयधिकशततमो<ध्याय: दुर्योधन और अर्जुनका युद्ध तथा दुर्योधनकी पराजय संजय उवाच एवमुकक््त्वार्जुनं राजा त्रिभिमर्मातिगै: शरै: । अभ्यविध्यन्महावेगैश्षतुर्भि श्वतुरो हयान्,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्! अर्जुनसे ऐसा कहकर राजा दुर्योधनने तीन अत्यन्त वेगशाली मर्मभेदी बाणोंद्वारा उन्हें बीध डाला और चार बाणोंद्वारा उनके चारों घोड़ोंको भी घायल कर दिया
sañjaya uvāca | evam uktvārjunaṃ rājā tribhir marmātigaiḥ śaraiḥ | abhyavidhyan mahāvegaiś caturbhiś caturaḥ hayān ||
Sañjaya said: “O King, having spoken thus to Arjuna, King Duryodhana struck him with three exceedingly swift arrows that sought the vital points; and with four more powerful shafts he wounded Arjuna’s four horses as well.”
