निकृत्या राज्यहरणं वनवासं च पाण्डव । परिक््लेशं च कृष्णाया हृदि कृत्वा पराक्रमम्,पाण्डुनन्दन! दुर्योधनने छलसे तुमलोगोंका राज्य छीन लिया है, तुम्हें जो वनवासका कष्ट भोगना पड़ा है तथा द्रौपदीको जो दुःख और अपमान उठाना पड़ा है--इन सब बातोंको मन-ही-मन याद करके पराक्रम करो
nikṛtyā rājyaharaṇaṁ vanavāsaṁ ca pāṇḍava | parikleśaṁ ca kṛṣṇāyā hṛdi kṛtvā parākramam, pāṇḍunandana ||
Vāyu said: “O Pāṇḍava, O son of Pāṇḍu—having been robbed of your kingdom by deceit, and having endured exile in the forest, and remembering in your heart the suffering and humiliation borne by Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), rouse your valor and act with heroic resolve.”
