Sañjaya said: “At that very time, Arjuna—the son of Pāṇḍu, with Śrī Kṛṣṇa as his charioteer—arrived there, cutting down enemies on every side, to the spot where the two mighty lion-like warriors, the father and son Bhīmasena and Ghaṭotkaca, were locked in combat with Bhagadatta of Prāgjyotiṣa.”

In the midst of war, dharma expresses itself as timely support and protection of one’s allies: Arjuna’s arrival signifies the duty to reinforce comrades engaged with a powerful foe, preventing adharma through neglect and sustaining collective resolve.
Bhīma and his son Ghaṭotkaca are fighting Bhagadatta, the ruler associated with Prāgjyotiṣa. As the clash intensifies, Arjuna—driving with Kṛṣṇa as his charioteer—reaches that battlefield sector while striking down enemies on all sides.
