अमृष्यमाणास्ते सर्वे सुबलस्यात्मजा रणे । इरावन्तमभिद्रुत्य सर्वत: पर्यवारयन्‌,अपनी सेनाको समरभूमिमें शत्रुकी सेनाद्वारा मार गिरायी गयी देख सुबलके सभी पुत्र इसे सह न सके। उन्होंने इरावानूपर धावा करके उसे सब ओरसे घेर लिया

Transliteration

amṛṣyamāṇās te sarve subalasyātmajā raṇe | irāvantam abhidrutya sarvataḥ paryavārayan |

Translation

Sañjaya said: Unable to endure the sight of their own troops being cut down on the battlefield, all the sons of Subala, inflamed with wrath and wounded pride, rushed straight at Irāvān and surrounded him on every side.
