Sañjaya said: Then Arjuna, having defeated those kings beginning with Subhaśarman along with their followers on the very battlefield, set out from the midst of the fighting host and returned toward his own camp.

The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in practice: a warrior must decisively overcome hostile opponents, yet remain disciplined and purposeful—returning to his own camp after achieving the immediate objective rather than fighting aimlessly.
Sañjaya reports that Arjuna defeats a group of kings led by Subhaśarman along with their followers in the midst of the battle formation, and then proceeds back toward his own camp.
