Educational Q&A

Unchecked desire (kāma) and reliance on manipulative counsel lead to unethical, arbitrary action; one becomes morally responsible for choices made even when influenced by advisers.

Sañjaya recounts to Dhṛtarāṣṭra how Duryodhana earlier followed Karṇa and Śakuni’s advice and, driven by desire, treated the Pāṇḍavas with contempt—setting the stage for inevitable conflict and retribution.
