Educational Q&A

The verse highlights steadfastness and the inexorable pull of kṣatriya-dharma in wartime: rest is only a brief interval, and both sides return to action, showing how duty, resolve, and the consequences of prior choices propel people back into conflict.

Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that after resting through the night, the Kuru and Pāṇḍava forces set out again to resume the fighting as the next day’s battle begins.
