Bhīmasena–Duryodhana Engagement at Sunset
हाहाकारश्न संजज्ञे पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम् | अभ्यद्रवत गृह्नीत हयान् यच्छत धावत
hāhākāraś ca sañjajñe pāṇḍavānāṁ mahātmanām | abhyadravat gṛhṇīta hayān yacchata dhāvata ||
Sañjaya said: A great cry of alarm arose among the noble-souled Pāṇḍavas. Some rushed forward shouting, “Seize the horses! Hold them back! Run!”—a scene of sudden confusion in the press of war, where discipline and presence of mind become the immediate duty.
संजय उवाच
In the immediacy of battle, dharma expresses itself as steadiness, discipline, and effective action under pressure—responding to danger without panic and restoring order through clear commands.
Sañjaya reports that a sudden alarm spreads among the Pāṇḍavas; warriors rush about issuing urgent orders to seize and restrain the horses, indicating a moment of disruption and rapid battlefield response.
