बलवीर्यसमाविष्ट: ससहायश्च साम्प्रतम् । “मुझे इस समय दुरात्मा घटोत्कचके साथ युद्ध करना अच्छा नहीं लगता; क्योंकि वह बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न है और इस समय उसे प्रबल सहायक भी मिल गये हैं ।। ७४ # || नैष शक््यो युधा जेतुमपि वज्रभूता स्वयम्,'ऐसी दशामें साक्षात् वज्रधारी इन्द्र भी उसे युद्धमें पराजित नहीं कर सकते। यह प्रहार करनेमें कुशल तथा लक्ष्य भेदनेमें सफल है। इधर हमलोगोंके वाहन थक गये हैं। पाण्डवों और पांचालोंके द्वारा दिनभर क्षत-विक्षत होते रहे हैं
