Even in warfare, outcomes hinge on disciplined organization and steadfast cohesion. The verse highlights coordinated placement under a named leader, implying that duty (dharma) in a crisis is carried out through order, loyalty, and readiness rather than chaos.
Sañjaya is describing the deployment of specific allied contingents—Kārūṣas, Vikuñjas, Muṇḍas, and Kuṇḍīvṛṣas—who, together with Bṛhadūbala, are stationed on the left wing of the battle array.
