ततः क्रोधवशं प्राप्त: पिता देवव्रतस्तव । ध्वजमुन्मथितं दृष्टवा तां च सेनां निवारिताम्,तब आपके पिता देवव्रत भीष्म अपने ध्वजको टूटकर गिरा हुआ और सेनाको निवारित की हुई देखकर क्रोधके अधीन हो गये
tataḥ krodhavaśaṁ prāptaḥ pitā devavratas tava | dhvajam unmathitaṁ dṛṣṭvā tāṁ ca senāṁ nivāritām |
Sañjaya said: Then your father Devavrata (Bhīṣma), overcome by anger, on seeing his banner struck down and his army checked and held back, became inflamed with wrath.
