भीष्मविक्रमदर्शनं तथा क्रौञ्चारुणव्यूहविधानम् | Bhīṣma’s Ascendancy and the Organization of the Krauñcāruṇa Formation
इस प्रकार यह गोपनीयसे भी अति गोपनीय ज्ञान मैंने तुझसे कह दियाः। अब तू इस रहस्ययुक्त ज्ञानको पूर्णतया भलीभाँति विचारकर जैसे चाहता है वैसे ही कर ।। सम्बन्ध-- इस प्रकार अर्जुनको सारे उपदेशपर विचार करके अपना कर्तव्य निर्धारित करनेके लिये कहे जानेपर भी जब अजुनने कुछ भी उत्तर नहीं दिया और वे अपनेको अनधिकारी तथा कर्तव्य निश्चय करनेगें असमर्थ समझकर खिन्रचित्त हो गये, तब सबके हदयकी बात जाननेवाले अन्तयमी भगवान् स्वयं ही अर्जुनपर दया करके कहने लगे-- सर्वगुह्मतमं भूय: शृणु मे परमं वच: । इष्टोडसि मे दृढमिति ततो वक्ष्यामि ते हितम्
iti te jñānam ākhyātaṁ guhyād guhyataraṁ mayā | vimṛśyaitad aśeṣeṇa yathecchasi tathā kuru ||
Thus I have declared to you this knowledge—more secret than what is secret. Reflect on it fully and without remainder; then act as you choose. (In ethical terms, the teaching is not imposed by force: after receiving the highest counsel, the hearer is asked to deliberate carefully and take responsibility for a freely chosen course aligned with dharma.)
अजुन उवाच
After imparting the most confidential instruction, the speaker emphasizes thoughtful discernment (vimṛśya) and personal responsibility: one should consider the teaching in full and then choose a course of action willingly, rather than acting from confusion or coercion.
At the close of a major instruction, Kṛṣṇa tells Arjuna that the deepest counsel has been given and asks him to reflect thoroughly and decide. The surrounding narrative notes Arjuna’s silence and dejection, prompting Kṛṣṇa—knower of all hearts—to continue with further, even more intimate guidance.
