Spiritual knowledge is not merely conceptual: Arjuna seeks direct realization. Yet he submits to divine discretion—only if the Lord deems it possible—highlighting humility, devotion, and the idea that the imperishable reality (avyaya) is revealed by grace, not forced by ego.
After hearing about Krishna’s supreme nature, Arjuna requests a direct vision of that divine, imperishable form. He addresses Krishna as ‘Yogeśvara,’ acknowledging Krishna’s power to grant extraordinary perception and to reveal His true Self.
