Arjuna said: Those who know Brahman and depart from life along the path presided over by fire, light, daytime, the bright fortnight, and the six months of the sun’s northern course—such persons, guided step by step by these divine powers, attain Brahman. The teaching highlights a disciplined, luminous course of departure associated with spiritual knowledge and ethical self-mastery, contrasting with darker paths driven by ignorance.
