The Yoga of the Imperishable Brahman
अथवा वैराग्यवान् पुरुष उन लोकोंमें न जाकर ज्ञानवान् योगियोंके ही कुलमें जन्म लेता है; परंतु इस प्रकारका जो यह जन्म है सो संसारमें नि:संदेह अत्यन्त दुर्लभ हैः ।। तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम् । यतते च ततो भूय: संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन,वहाँ उस पहले शरीरमें संग्रह किये हुए बुद्धि-संयोगको अर्थात् समबुद्धिरूप योगके संस्कारोंको अनायास ही प्राप्त हो जाता है और हे कुरुनन्दन! उसके प्रभावसे वह फिर परमात्माकी प्राप्तिरूप सिद्धिके लिये पहलेसे भी बढ़कर प्रयत्न करता है
tatra taṃ buddhi-saṃyogaṃ labhate paurva-dehikam | yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ saṃsiddhau kuru-nandana ||
Or again, the man of dispassion does not go to those worlds, but is born into the lineage of wise, knowing yogins; and such a birth is, beyond doubt, exceedingly rare. There he regains without strain the union with steady discernment he had gathered in a former body—the impressions of yoga as even-mindedness. And from that point onward, O joy of the Kurus, he strives more intensely than before toward complete fulfillment: the attainment of the Supreme Self.
अजुन उवाच
Spiritual effort creates lasting impressions (saṃskāras): the disciplined clarity of intellect cultivated earlier can reappear in a later life, enabling stronger and quicker progress toward complete realization.
In the dialogue on yoga and its results, the speaker explains that a person who resumes life after incomplete practice can recover prior yogic disposition and then strive with greater intensity toward final attainment.
