Sañjaya said: “O delight of the Sun’s line, let this enmity be brought to an end through me. May all the kings upon the earth, from this very day, become free from affliction—released from grief and fear.”

The verse voices an ethical longing to end a destructive feud even at personal cost: the speaker wishes that hostility cease “through me,” so that rulers and the world may become free from suffering. It highlights the ideal that peace and the welfare of many outweigh the continuation of vengeance.
In the midst of the war context, Sañjaya reports a plea addressed to a Solar-line hero (“Ādityanandana”): the speaker expresses readiness to be the means by which the feud is extinguished, praying that all kings on earth may, from that day, be free from distress, grief, and fear.
