न त्वया सदृश: वश्ित्‌ पुरुषेष्वमरोपम । कुलभेदभयाच्चाहं सदा परुषमुक्तवान्‌,“देवोपम वीर! मनुष्योंमें तुम्हारे समान कोई नहीं है। मैं सदा अपने कुलमें फूट पड़नेके डरसे तुम्हें कटुवचन सुनाता रहा

na tvayā sadṛśaḥ kaścid puruṣeṣv amaropama | kulabhedabhayāc cāhaṃ sadā paruṣam uktavān ||

Sanjaya said: “O godlike one, among men there is none equal to you. Yet, fearing a rupture within my own clan, I have always spoken harshly to you.”
