कृष्णद्वैपायनाच्चैव तच्च सत्यं न संशय: । न च द्वेषो5स्ति मे तात त्वयि सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते,“तात! श्रीकृष्णद्वैपायन व्याससे भी तुम्हारे जन्मका वृत्तान्त ज्ञात हुआ था और जो कुछ ज्ञात हुआ, वह सत्य है। इसमें संदेह नहीं है। तुम्हारे प्रति मेरे मनमें द्वेष नहीं है; यह मैं तुमसे सत्य कहता हूँ
kṛṣṇadvaipāyanāccaiva tacca satyaṃ na saṃśayaḥ | na ca dveṣo 'sti me tāta tvayi satyaṃ bravīmi te ||
Sañjaya said: “And this very account was known even to Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana Vyāsa; what he knew is true—there is no doubt about it. And, dear child, I bear no hatred toward you; I tell you this truthfully.”
संजय उवाच
The verse emphasizes satya (truthfulness) and the ethical stance of speaking without malice: one should state what is true, grounded in reliable authority, while explicitly rejecting hatred toward the listener.
Sañjaya reassures his interlocutor that the account being discussed is confirmed as true even by the sage Vyāsa, and he clarifies that he is not speaking out of hostility but out of truthful intent.
