यावन्न ते चमू: सर्वा: शरै: संनतपर्वभि: | नाशयत्यर्जुनस्तावत् संधिस्ते तात युज्यताम्,“तात! जबतक अर्जुन झुकी हुई गाँठवाले बाणोंद्वारा तुम्हारी सारी सेनाका विनाश नहीं कर डालते हैं, तभीतक उनके साथ तुम्हारी संधि हो जानी चाहिये
yāvanna te camūḥ sarvāḥ śaraiḥ sannatapārvarbhiḥ | nāśayatyarjunastāvat sandhiste tāta yujyatām ||
Sañjaya said: “Dear son, before Arjuna destroys your entire host with his arrows—shafts whose joints are bent down—let a settlement be made with him. Before ruin becomes inevitable, choose reconciliation over the pride that leads to slaughter.”
