Sañjaya said: All around, elephants and chariot-warriors were falling to the ground. On the earth lay countless chariots scattered about—horses and chariots in disarray—because their wheels, yokes, and banners had been shattered. The scene underscores the moral gravity of war: prowess and pride collapse into ruin, and the battlefield reduces all martial display to broken instruments and fallen bodies.
