भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः
Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed

तथैव चेकितानो<पि चित्रसेनमवारयत् | तद् युद्धमासीत् सुमहत् तयोस्तत्र समागमे,पराक्रमी चित्रसेन भीष्मकी रक्षाके लिये पराक्रम दिखा रहा था। भारत! उसने पूरी शक्ति लगाकर चेकितानके साथ युद्ध किया। इसी प्रकार चेकितानने भी चित्रसेनकी गति रोक दी। उन दोनोंकी मुठभेड़में वहाँ महान् युद्ध होने लगा
Transliteration
tathaiva cekitāno 'pi citrasenam avārayat | tad yuddham āsīt sumahat tayos tatra samāgame ||
Translation
Sañjaya said: “In the same way, Cekitāna too checked Citrasena. When the two met there, a very great battle arose between them—each striving with full might to restrain the other’s advance and uphold his own side’s protection.”
