भीष्मस्य अप्रतिमपराक्रमः — शिखण्डिपुरस्कृतः प्रहारः

Bhīṣma’s unmatched momentum and the assault with Śikhaṇḍin in the lead

धृष्टद्युम्नस्तथा राजन सौभद्रश्न महारथ: । हृष्टावाद्रवतां भीष्म॑ श्रुत्वा पार्थस्य भाषितम्‌,राजन! पार्थका वह भाषण सुनकर धृष्टद्युम्न तथा सुभद्राकुमार महारथी अभिमन्यु--ये दोनों वीर हर्ष और उत्साहमें भरकर भीष्मकी ओर दौड़े

dhṛṣṭadyumnas tathā rājan saubhadraś ca mahārathaḥ | hṛṣṭāv ādravatāṁ bhīṣmaṁ śrutvā pārthasya bhāṣitam ||

Sanjaya said: O King, Dhrishtadyumna and the mighty chariot-warrior Saubhadra (Abhimanyu), hearing the words spoken by Partha (Arjuna), were filled with joy and ardor and rushed straight toward Bhishma.
