धूतपापो जितस्वर्गों मुमुदे भ्रातृभि: सह । इस प्रकार पृथ्वीके मूल्यके रूपमें वह सुवर्ण देकर राजा युधिष्ठिर अपने भाइयोंसहित बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। उनके सारे पाप धुल गये और उन्होंने स्वर्गपर अधिकार प्राप्त कर लिया

dhūtapāpo jitasvargo mumude bhrātṛbhiḥ saha |

Vaiśampāyana said: Having had his sins washed away and having secured the right to heaven, King Yudhiṣṭhira rejoiced together with his brothers. By giving that gold as the price of the earth, he felt deep satisfaction.
