चतुर्धा पृथिवीं कृत्वा चातुर्होत्रप्रमाणत: । नाहमादातुमिच्छामि ब्रह्म॒स्वं द्विजसत्तमा:
Transliteration
caturdhā pṛthivīṃ kṛtvā cāturhotrapramāṇataḥ | nāham ādātum icchāmi brahmasvaṃ dvijasattamaḥ ||
Translation
Vaiśampāyana said: “Even if the earth were divided into four parts according to the measure of the fourfold sacrificial priesthood, I do not wish to take brahmasva—what belongs to the brāhmaṇas, O best of the twice-born.”
