Transliteration

sa nītas tataḥ sa paścima-deśaṃ samudrasya tadā hayaḥ | krameṇa vyacarat sphītaṃ tataḥ pañcanadaṃ yayau ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Then the sacrificial horse, thus guided onward, ranged through the western lands along the seacoast. Moving step by step in due course, it wandered through prosperous regions and thereafter reached the rich country of Pañcanada—signaling the orderly, unhindered progress of the Aśvamedha and the king’s expanding, dharma-governed sovereignty.
