Transliteration

śokasantaptahṛdayā rudatī vepatī bhṛśam | maṇipūrapater mātā dadarśa nihataṃ patim ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Her heart scorched by grief, weeping and trembling violently, the mother of the lord of Maṇipura saw her husband lying slain.
