परिक्षीणे कुले यस्माज्जातोडयमभिमन्युज:
parikṣīṇe kule yasmāj jāto ’yam abhimanyujaḥ
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “Since this Abhimanyu’s son has been born when the lineage had nearly been exhausted, the continuity of the family is restored and the peril of extinction is averted.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic importance of safeguarding lineage and social continuity: even after catastrophic loss, the birth of a rightful heir becomes a moral and political restoration, preserving inherited duties, rites, and responsibility.
