हृष्टानां सिंहनादेन जनानां तत्र नि:स्वन: | प्रविश्य प्रदिश: सर्वा: पुनरेव व्युपारमत्‌,पहले पुत्र-जन्मका समाचार सुनकर हर्षमें भरे हुए लोगोंके सिंहनादसे एक महान्‌ कोलाहल सुनायी पड़ा, जो सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंमें प्रविष्ट हो पुनः: शान्त हो गया

hṛṣṭānāṃ siṃhanādena janānāṃ tatra niḥsvanaḥ | praviśya pradiśaḥ sarvāḥ punar eva vyupāramat ||

Vaiśampāyana said: From the lion-like shouts of the people, filled with joy there, a great uproar arose. It spread into all directions and then, once again, subsided into calm.
