हतशिष्टेन सैन्येन समन्तात्‌ परिवार्य तम्‌ । अथोपविविशुर्द्वश हृदस्थं पञच पाण्डवा:,तदनन्तर हर्षमें भरे हुए पाँचों पाण्डव मरनेसे बची हुई सेनाके द्वारा उसपर चारों ओरसे घेरा डालकर तालाबमें बैठे हुए दुर्योधनके पास जा पहुँचे

hataśiṣṭena sainyena samantāt parivārya tam | athopaviviśur dvāśa hṛdasthaṃ pañca pāṇḍavāḥ ||

Vāsudeva said: Then the five Pāṇḍavas, filled with exultation, surrounded him on all sides with the remnants of their army and approached Duryodhana, who was seated within the lake.
