दीपवृक्षैश्ष सौवर्णरभीक्ष्णममुपशोभित: । गुहानिर्सरदेशेषु दिवाभूतो बभूव ह,वृक्षेके आकारमें सजाये हुए सोनेके दीप उस स्थानकी शोभाको और भी उद्दीप्त कर रहे थे। वहाँकी गुफाओं और झरनोंके स्थानोंमें दिनके समान प्रकाश हो रहा था

Transliteration

dīpavṛkṣaiś ca sauvarṇair abhīkṣṇam upaśobhitaḥ | guhā-nir-sara-deśeṣu divābhūto babhūva ha ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: The place was continually adorned with golden lamps arranged upon lamp-bearing trees. In the regions of caves and at the outlets of springs and waterfalls, it became as bright as daytime—an image of ordered splendor and careful hospitality, where darkness is dispelled by deliberate, auspicious illumination.
