Vaiśampāyana said: “When these (earrings) are worn by a short-statured person, they become small; and when worn by one of large build, they become large in proportion to him—taking on the very measure of the wearer.”

Vaiśampāyana describes a pair of earrings whose size changes according to the wearer—becoming small for a short person and large for a big-bodied person—emphasizing their miraculous, self-adjusting quality.
